The man moves in circles
his sadness peeling from him
like leprosy.
He says:
"I still feel kinda
temporary
about myself."
And we say:
"Don't worry,
we'll love you better."
but under the scabs
there's sand,
irritating, exacerbating,
to a fine point of
tears.
We need to rip the scabs
pour salt and methylated spirits
into his wounds
a sting
and then peace.
"Lo, sleep is good, better is death; in sooth,
The best of all were never to be born." (Heine)

It would not be better never to have been born, easier maybe, but not better. The world would not be the same.
Very nice, Jenn. Beautiful.
You alright lady?
Your posts have been very dark of late. Are you alright?
Jenn, well written. Sometimes life gets heavy. When it feels that way to me, (since I'm not good with verse)I try to remember "This too, shall pass". Hope to hear from you soon.
Nessa: It would have been easier. Sometimes I think easier and better are synonymous. Other times, I know better.
PTB: Thanks Bo.
Grey Shades: Yeah, now I am. Whatcha up to these days?
Quilly: I know, I know...very dark. Up and down. Mood swingy type of person.
Jackie: It has passed. Thanks. Kidney stones and what have you...
Oh dont ask lar! I feel i'm sleepwalking through life these days...
I love it when you use lar. Makes you one of us. And when I say us, I mean the inner circle us, as in my family, specifically, my sisters and I.
