Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

I'm a cat on a hot tin roof; too afraid to jump.

So I run on treadmills sweating profusely but getting nowhere.

'Well, in our country, said Alice, still panting a little, 'you'd generally get to somewhere else - if you ran very fast for a long time as we've been doing.' 'A slow sort of country!' said the Queen. 'Now, here, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!'

So I sip warm water (instead of having dinner) because I'm afraid to go shopping and nothing fits. It's all wrong or I'm all wrong.

So I stare at the pages of a book pretending that I can live in my mind once more.

It's getting harder...

Hey Jenns...keep missing you on Yahoo and Facebook...
Anyway, you just do what you have to do...remember, exercise is for yourself and for you to feel good about yourself...don't kill yourself doing it or rob yourself off all the pleasures in life. Take care...and run your own pace.xxx

Over the last two months I have walked a half hour every day. It's the only thing I committed myself to do. I have lost a solid 15 pounds.

Don't torture yourself. I think it makes the pounds stubborn; D

Aw. Warm water makes for a very sad dinner. I hate being on a diet because eventually I rebel and it's cakes, cakes, cakes in a riotous festival of food.

Have you tried cooking some really complicated recipes? I find my appetite shrinks after all the prep work. And it always helps to eat with someone - I tend to eat more when alone.

Praby: I took your advice. And had a great dinner last night. Hehe.

Nessa: I took yours too. And walked at a more leisurely pace on the treadmill...:)

Marge: I couldn't agree more. It does. Which is why I have ditched it as dinner.
