Madding Crowds

Far from the madding crowd's ignoble strife
Their sober wishes never learn'd to stray;
Along the cool sequester'd vale of life
They kept the noiseless tenor of their way.

Because I felt like it!

Me, too. Jenn, I have always liked this - but always thought it was "maddening" crowds. I can't believe I missed that all this time. Duh.

Hehe. I like to say madding crowds. And when people raise their eyebrows and correct me, I'll quote Hardy. And give them a brief rundown of plot if I have the time (it's one of my most annoying, er...madding, habits)
